What does the daily programme look like?

The programme is split into competitions, recreational activities, clinics, free time and leisure, evening games and themed parties. Because the goal of H10 Hand Camp is entertainment, progress and socialising, some activities are run by age group and others with everyone together.

What are the pool rules?

At some points in the programme, weather permitting, we use the pools and one water slide. Pool use is recreational only, never for training. As a rule, even campers who swim very well must stay in water below shoulder depth.

Are campers split by age?

Throughout the week the daily programme includes a wide range of activities, clinics and training. To encourage socialising and integration, some are run with all campers together, which gives younger and older ones more contact. Others are split into age groups.

What are the rooms like?

All of them are comfortable and located in the central area of the camp. Rooms are shared and well ventilated. For privacy, toilets and showers are individual enclosed cubicles.

How are campers assigned to rooms?

The first split is boys and girls. We believe sharing a room with campers of the same age matters, because the conversations and games are the same — so we then split by age. But long-time friends should stay together, right? When booking, write down the names of the friends your child would like to room with, following the rules in the Camper Handbook.

What is the counsellor team like?

We are very careful when choosing our counsellors. We invest heavily in training so they can handle each camper’s individuality professionally. We work with an average of one professional per 6 campers, plus a coordination and staff team that stays at the camp for the whole session.

What is the food like?

We have a kitchen that prepares varied, delicious meals with our campers in mind. The menu is wide — white and red meats, pasta, salads, desserts, seasonal fruit and more. We serve 4 meals a day: breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. Juice and water are included; soft drinks are paid separately at the shop. Our kitchen is prepared for dietary restrictions — just let us know when you enrol.

How does the shop work?

The shop/canteen sells drinks, snacks and sweets, as well as sports items exclusive to the event. We accept cash, card and Pix.

Are birthdays celebrated during the session?

Yes. There is a celebration for anyone whose birthday falls during the session.

What are the health team’s procedures?

We have a nurse and a physiotherapist on site full time. If your child is on any treatment, the medication must be handed over in its original packaging with the prescription at check-in, on departure day. If medical care is needed, we rely on the municipal hospitals of nearby towns. Before any treatment, however, we contact the parents so they can authorise it or come and take the camper to a clinic of their choice.

Can they bring a mobile phone?

Yes, phones are allowed. That said, any camper who wants to call home for any reason can use a phone we provide at set times, so activities are not disrupted. If a phone is used during activity hours we collect it, with the family informed.

Can we talk to our children during the session?

Accepted Answer

We suggest calling around lunchtime, especially for younger campers, since that is when they are most cheerful and least tired — which keeps homesickness away.

How does a first-time camper settle in?

First-timers are supported closely by our counsellors. During that period we encourage them to interact with other campers and suggest activities they enjoy. We also count on parents as allies: if needed, we call so you can advise us or speak to your child and encourage them.

What if my child doesn’t settle in and wants to come home?

We contact the parents so we can decide together what is best for them. If the decision is to go home, we send directions so the guardians can collect them on an agreed day and time.

What should they NOT bring?

H10 Hand Camp is not liable for lost items. We therefore suggest not bringing valuables such as tablets, cameras, electronic devices, jewellery, watches and so on. They should also not bring food, drinks or sharp objects.

How secure is the camp?

Estância Nazaré Paulista has its entire grounds enclosed by fences, walls and monitoring cameras, plus a 24-hour security team.

What happens to items left behind at camp?

Items left behind are kept at the office for up to 30 days. During that period we can send them by cash-on-delivery courier on request. After 30 days, everything is donated.

In full via Pix, or in up to 6 instalments on a credit card.

What are the discount rules?

Accepted Answer

Former campers and siblings get 7% off, and H10 students 10%. From January 2027 these are granted by coupon, so every case is on record: ask our team for your code before enrolling and enter it in the “Discount coupon” field of the form. They are not cumulative: the largest one the athlete qualifies for applies.

If we cancel the trip, is there a refund?

If the client cancels, the following rule applies: up to 7 days after the contract date, no penalty. After 7 days from signing and more than 40 days before departure, a penalty of 30% of the contract value. From 40 to 8 days before departure, 50%. From 7 days up to the departure date, 75%. In the case of a no-show or early return, the amounts are retained in full, with no refund due to the client.

If my child leaves before the session ends, is there a refund?

Campers who need to leave for health or adaptation reasons are not refunded.

What is the journey from São Paulo like, and how long does it take?

Accepted Answer

We provide chartered buses with seat belts, toilet, air conditioning and TV, from the city of São Paulo to Nazaré Paulista/SP. During the roughly 2-hour journey, the coaches already start activities to get all campers mixing.

They have never slept away from home. Will it work?

Accepted Answer

It will, and it is more common than it sounds: a good share of the group is there for the first time. A counsellor stays close during the first days, and we call the family if we sense it is needed. If it still does not click, we decide together what is best for them.

No. The camp is for those who want to learn, not for those who have already arrived.
